What are the benefits of an eco-friendly cool or green Roof?

“Green” roofs minimize the amount of solar heat that penetrates a building. This can help you save on energy costs by reducing the temperature inside the building. A cool roof is a lighter colored roof which consists of materials that reflect the sun’s energy. A cool roof can greatly reduce the temperature on the roof’s surface, resulting in lower AC costs. Call your Carrollwood Roofing account manager, who will explain the benefits for your residential or commercial needs.

How do I know if the roof I choose promotes a green environment?

One way that you can promote a green environment is to select roofing products that are made from recycled materials. Also, choose materials that reflect the sun and are low in CO2 emissions. Your Carrollwood Roofing representative will ensure that as much material as possible from your project is recycled.

How do I know if my shingle roof can be repaired or needs replacement?

It’s best to have an experienced Carrollwood Roofing representative inspect your roof to determine if it can be repaired or needs to be replaced. Our roofer will check your shingles to determine if they are curled, split or otherwise damaged. The decking should be checked to make sure that it is not sagging or rotting. The age of your roof will also be a determining factor when deciding if a repair would be the best solution.

What choices do I have other than a standard roof?

Shingle roofs are a common roof choice, but other durable and eco-friendly options are available, as well. Tile and metal roofs are some examples. Your structure might also be a good fit for a roof coating, which would be applied over your existing commercial or residential flat roof.

What are some of the benefits of a metal roof?

A metal roof is durable and can last 50 or more years. It can also increase the resale value of your home. There are many styles, colors and finishes to choose from, some resembling more traditional materials, such as shingles or tiles. Metal roofs reflect heat to reduce cooling costs in the summer and insulate homes during the winter. This can help to lower your energy bills. The steel used in metal roofs is also recyclable, so it is great for the environment. Give Carrollwood Roofing a call, so that we can review the many options that are available to fit your specific needs and budget.

We Are metal roofs noisy when it rains?

A common misconception is that a metal roof will be noisier than other types of roofing. When installed with solid sheathing, a metal roof on your home will actually silence noise from rain, hail and bad weather much better than other roofing materials.

Is a metal roof dangerous in weather with lightning?

A metal roof is no more likely to be struck by lightning than any other roof. If your metal roof happened to get hit by lightning, the metal would help to dissipate the electrical charge. Metal roofs are also noncombustible.

What are the benefits of a tile roof?

Tile roofs are weather resistant, attractive and durable. They are adaptable to any style of home. They are available in a wide range of colors, including mixed colors/tones and patterns. Carrollwood Roofing has all available styles and colors at their disposal for your consideration.
